I have collected antiques from a young age. One of my latest fascinations are jewellery boxes. The many different shapes, materials are intriguing. It’s interesting to find more about a goldsmith, jeweler or merchant. To acquire the more special ones has become a real challenge. Although I was able to collected many at antique markets, auctions and even locally I discovered they are increasingly difficult to find. Especcialy the ones from famous jeweleryhouses, or the really old ones in good condition. Recently I decided to let go of some of them to be able to add other ones to my collection. As I continue my journey through the enchanting world of antique jewelry boxes I find myself drawn to the stories behind each piece.
